Engineering services

IPS technical office has the capacity and the qualifications to implement Electrical & Mechanical Consultant and Design of :

  • Utilities pipe line net work
  • HVAC System.
  • Plumbing System.
  • Firefighting and fire alarm system.
  • Lighting, Telephone and CCTV system.
  • Communication & Security System.

IPS confirms that the services, as described herein, will be supplied to Client in accordance with the best engineering practices and International Codes.

IPS could execute the Detailed Engineering design services for the followings:

  • Mechanical Equipment Engineering for Rotating Equipment and workshop drawings.
  • Design and workshop drawings of Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchanges, Air Coolers, Filters, Packaged Equipment, Heaters, etc.
  • Mechanical Catalogue and workshop drawings.
  • Preparation of Operating Manual.

Detailed Engineering services and as Built:

  • Process Engineering: Based on the Basic Engineering Package supplied by Client, IPS will:
    • Check for data consistency of equipment vs. H&MB, PFDs, and P&IDs.
    • Revise summary of utilities consumptions.
    • Incorporate in instrument data sheets all significant process data.
    • Complete and revise as needed Process Piping and Instruments Diagrams for Utilities, incorporating line sizes and equipment characteristics as required.
    • Modify Piping and Instruments Diagrams of the process unit(s), to reflect any changes and additional information originated by the equipment purchased and the actual performance of detailed engineering.
  • Project Engineering and Management:
    • Preparation of the Coordination Procedure, which describes the basic relationships as well as the communication system between Client, IPS and other Parties, if applicable, during the execution of the Project.
    • Manage and coordinate all activities, between engineering departments and Client.
  • Electrical Engineering:
    • Updating of existing general electrical project specifications.
    • Updating of Schematic diagrams for motor controls, interlocks and tripping system.
    • Cable and Cable Trays routings as built drawings.
  • Instrument Engineering:
    • Revision of Piping & Instruments Diagrams.
    • Update the Instrument List included in the Basic Engineering Package / and or existing detailed engineering packages.
    • Update the required process, electric and pneumatic hook‑ups showing the installation materials to be used.
    • update of sketches to show instrumentation connections on vessels.
    • Instrument steam tracing, jacketing winterizing (if required) and supports typical details.
    • Instrument layout drawing, showing the location of:
      • Multitube runs
      • Junction boxes.
      • Routing of air‑headers and tubing including supports.
      • Pneumatic & electric instruments approximate location.
    • Update Schematic wiring diagrams for instrument interlocks.
    • Update Schematic cable routings for thermo‑couples, thermometer, resistances and signal cables.
    • Update Electrical instrument schematic diagrams.
    • Update  Electrical instrument details and cable schedule.
  • Civil Engineering:
    • Elaboration of the following drawings: Steel structures including stairs, platforms, piping supports, etc.,
  • Electricity:
    • Update Typical project standard drawings for power, grounding, lighting and control systems.
    • Update Power layout drawings showings cables, routing and location of power consumers in process unit.
    • Update Grounding layout drawings in process unit.
    • Update Lighting layout drawings in process unit.
    • Update of the lighting panel drawings including circuit lists.
    • Update Conduit section details and/or cable distributions in trenches and trays.
    • Update and updating of the electrical cable, conduit and fittings list.
    • Update list of electrical materials.
    • Final material take‑off and updating of requisitions for purchase.
    • Elaboration of the detailed drawings of power and control, lighting and    grounding.
    • Coordination with other sections as required during the different phases of the Project.
  • Piping:
    • Pipelines new design and fire-fighting network covering
    • Update plot plans and elevation drawings showing:
      • Battery limits
      • Equipment layout w/coordinates and dimensions
      • Supporting structures
      • Sleepers and pipe racks
      • Other facilities within battery limits
    • Piping as built drawings will be performed for isometrics, using Plant 3D Autodesk Software.
    • Isometric drawings will be performed for the following lines:
      • Carbon Steel: Sizes 2″ and above.
      • Allow steel and SS: Sizes 2” and above.
      • Special lines (jacketed, critical lines, etc.) ‑All
  • For the remaining lines, which shall be field‑run from general arrangement   drawings, isometric study sketches for take‑off and material list will be prepared.
  • No shop drawings will be performed by IPS.
  • Review of existing Vendor’s setting plan drawings.
  • Update Line Lists showing:
    • Line description, origin and termination
    • Line medium
    • Line number
    • Nominal pipe size and wall thickness (Schedule number)
    • Operating and design pressures and temperatures
    • Insulation type and thickness
    • Painting
    • Test pressure (hydrostatic or pneumatic)
    • Corrosion allowances
    • Indication of the conditions which govern the design
    •

Planning and Scheduling:

A careful planning and schedule monitoring of the project activities is a key factor for the success of the project.

IPS operates project control as an integral system combining the tools of planning, scheduling and cost control.
